Miller is currently serving in Congress after succeeding John Shimkus in 2021 and has represented Illinois’s 15th District since then. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and resides in Oakland. She holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University. In previous elections, Miller won by wide margins; in 2022 she defeated Paul Lange with over 71% of the vote and in 2020 secured more than 73% against Erika Weaver.
