Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, posted a series of statements on her social media account addressing topics ranging from the U.S. Census to crime in Washington, D.C., and transgender participation in sports.

On August 7, 2025, Miller criticized the inclusion of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Census. She wrote, “Counting illegal aliens in the Census robs American citizens of representation and resources. Thank you, President Trump, for putting an end to this insanity!! It’s simply common sense.”

Later that day, Miller commented on crime rates in cities led by Democrats. She stated on August 7, 2025: “Democrats turn any city they run into war zones, including DC, one of the deadliest capitals on Earth. More dangerous than Mexico City and Havana!! Congress must act NOW and take back control. This is not okay.”

On August 8, 2025, Miller addressed issues related to transgender athletes competing in women’s sports. She posted: “It’s not hateful to say the obvious: if God made you a man, you should compete in men’s sports. Women deserve a fair playing field.”

Miller has served as a member of Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021 and currently represents Illinois’ 15th district. In previous elections, she secured significant victories against Democratic opponents Erika Weaver in 2020 and Paul Lange in 2022.
