Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing national security and government transparency.
On August 14, 2025, Miller raised concerns about foreign investment in American real estate and its potential implications for national security. She stated, “Chinese nationals are buying U.S. farmland and homes at record rates, including land near critical military bases. This is a national security threat that must end now. I’ve introduced legislation to get it done.”
Later the same day, Miller addressed issues related to federal agencies and internal actors she describes as obstructive to government function. In her post dated August 14, 2025, she wrote, “Deep State actors who continue to operate within our government agencies must be EXPOSED and REMOVED without hesitation!”
In another message directed at Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker on August 14, 2025, Miller declared: “The days of putting Americans last are over, @GovPritzker.”
Mary Miller began serving in Congress in January 2021 after succeeding John Shimkus as the representative for Illinois’ 15th district. She won her seat by defeating Erika Weaver in the 2020 general election with over seventy-three percent of the vote and was re-elected in 2022 against Paul Lange with more than seventy-one percent support.
