Rep. Mary Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, shared updates on recent legislative actions and milestones via her official social media account on March 7, 2026.
In a post made at 01:21 UTC, Miller stated, “@HHSGov RESCINDED a Biden-era rule that punished foster families for refusing to affirm a child’s confusion. President Trump’s administration is restoring common sense and ensuring more loving homes are available for children in need!”
Later the same day at 16:58 UTC, she marked an anniversary of a congressional initiative by writing, “Today marks three years since I launched the Congressional Family Caucus alongside @RepHarshbarger and @RepBrianBabin. The nuclear family is the cornerstone of a strong nation—and it is our responsibility in Congress to defend it.”
She followed up with another message thanking supporters: “Thank you to the 46 Members of Congress across our nation who have joined the Congressional Family Caucus! Together, we will continue advancing policies that strengthen American families and protect the next generation.”
Mary Miller has represented Illinois’s 15th District in Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently resides in Oakland. Miller graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BA degree. In previous elections, she won her seat by significant margins—defeating Erika Weaver in 2020 with over 73% of the vote and Paul Lange in 2022 with more than 71%.
