Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, has used her social media platform to criticize Democratic lawmakers and state officials over immigration enforcement and sanctuary policies.
On March 24, 2026, Miller posted: “We cannot let Democrats weaken ICE enforcement to protect foreign criminal aliens in our country. ICE must continue at full force.”
The following day, she addressed actions by Illinois Senate Democrats Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, stating: “Illinois Senate Democrats Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth are obstructing DHS funding in efforts to protect dangerous illegal aliens responsible for heinous crimes like the murder of Sheridan Gorman. They are playing politics with American lives and our national security.” This message was posted on March 25, 2026.
Later that same day, Miller commented on the state’s leadership: “JB Pritzker’s sanctuary policies are deadly. This deliberate agenda, being promoted by JB Pritzker and Congressional Democrats to protect illegal aliens while putting the safety of law-abiding Americans at risk, must be stopped.”
Miller has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing John Shimkus as the representative for Illinois’s 15th District. She won her seat in the general elections of both 2020 and 2022 with significant margins against her opponents Erika Weaver and Paul Lange, respectively. Born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently residing in Oakland, Miller holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
