The City of Champaign announced on Apr. 16 that lane closures will take place on Ross Drive and Page Drive as part of the 2026 Concrete Streets Improvements project. Feutz Contractors will be handling the removal and replacement of concrete pavement in these areas.
The lane closures are expected to affect local traffic starting Monday, April 20, when work begins on Ross Drive from Lynwood Drive to the cul-de-sac to the east. The city said this phase will require closure of the cul-de-sac as well as phased lane closures extending up to Lynwood Drive.
Work is also scheduled for Page Drive, with pavement replacement set to begin Tuesday, April 21. The section between Lynwood Drive and Seaton Court will undergo temporary, phased lane closures while one side of the street is replaced at a time.
According to city officials, both phases of construction are expected to last about two weeks if weather conditions allow.
These improvements are part of ongoing efforts by Champaign officials to maintain road infrastructure and ensure safer travel for residents.
