Kendall Bostic, a graduate of Illinois Women’s Basketball, has been named a Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner for the second time. She previously received the award after her junior and fifth-year seasons while playing under head coach Shauna Green.

During her four years with the Fighting Illini from 2021 to 2025, Bostic contributed to two NCAA Tournament appearances and was part of the team that won the 2024 WBIT Championship. She led the Big Ten in rebounds per game every season at Illinois and finished as the program’s all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles. Bostic started all 125 games she was eligible for after transferring before her sophomore year.

Bostic earned recognition for her leadership, work ethic, and involvement in community activities throughout her career. She was named a First Team All-Big Ten player in her final season, made all-conference teams each year with Illinois, joined the WBIT All-Tournament Team, and received several academic honors including being a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. In 2023, she won Illinois’ Female Spirit Award.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences in May 2023 and completed a master’s degree in special education by May 2025. Bostic is now serving as Assistant Director of Development, Varsity I, within Illinois’ Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Bostic joins Nathan Scheelhaase from Illinois Football as one of only two Fighting Illini athletes to win the Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award twice.

Other recipients of this year’s Outstanding Sportsmanship Award from across Big Ten schools include Ben Humrichous (Illinois Men’s Basketball), Chloe Moore-McNeil (Indiana Women’s Basketball), Nyla Hampton (Michigan State Women’s Basketball), Callin Hake (Nebraska Women’s Basketball), Madison Greene (Ohio State Women’s Basketball), Kiki Rice (UCLA Women’s Basketball), among others.
