Director of track, field, and cross country Petros Kyprianou has announced the addition of Jaimie Robinson to the University of Illinois’ coaching staff for the 2025-26 season. Robinson will focus on coaching jumps and combined events.

“I want to start off by saying thank you to Petros Kyprianou and the Illini famILLy for this opportunity,” Robinson expressed. “I chose to come to Illinois to inspire growth, spark hope and pour into others so they feel the power of their own strength. I’m excited to hit the ground running in Champaign!”

Robinson’s collegiate career includes notable achievements at Ohio State, where she was a two-time Big Ten Champion in triple jump during 2022 and a runner-up in 2023. She was also a finalist at the 2022 USATF Championships, a three-time NCAA Championships qualifier, and earned Second-Team All-American honors three times.

Before Ohio State, Robinson competed for Oregon, securing fifth place in triple jump at the Pac-12 Championships in 2021. Her collegiate journey began at Alabama, where she qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2018.

Hailing from Flossmoor, Illinois, Robinson’s pre-college accolades include a silver medal at the 2017 Pan American U20 Track and Field Championships and victory at the U.S. Junior Championships that same year. At Homewood-Flossmoor High School, she set an Illinois all-class record with her triple jump mark of 13.01 meters as a senior.
