The University of Illinois women’s golf team finished in fourth place out of 12 teams at the Florida State Match Up, which concluded on March 22 in Tallahassee, Florida. The team posted a score of 287 in the third round, ending with an overall total of 884 and achieving its best finish so far this spring.

Brielle Mapanao and Anna Ritter led Illinois by tying for 16th place individually, each finishing alongside Katie Scheck from Mercer. Mapanao scored a 74 in the final round while Ritter carded a 76. Alexis Myers and Victoria Zheng tied for 19th after both shot a two-under-par 70 on the last day, making significant jumps up the leaderboard. Erica Lee improved her position by eight places with a tournament-low round of 73 to tie for 27th, while Kylie Eaton also scored a 73 to move up ten spots and finish tied for 31st.
