The University of Illinois announced on April 5 that the scheduled Sunday softball game between the Fighting Illini and Michigan State in East Lansing was canceled because of cold weather and unplayable field conditions caused by heavy rain. The university said the contest will not be rescheduled.
This cancellation affects both teams’ regular season schedules and means fans will miss an anticipated matchup.
