Illinois softball released its 2026 promotional schedule on Mar. 9, outlining a series of themed events and concessions promotions for the team’s 20 home games at Eichelberger Field.
The schedule features special events tied to each home matchup, aiming to engage fans throughout the season. Highlights include the Home Opener and FamILLy Friday against Iowa on March 13, Pi Day on March 14, and St. Patrick’s Day on March 15. The Missouri doubleheader on March 18 will feature Braggin’ Rights and Hail to the Orange Out.
Other notable promotions include Kids Club Night with base running opportunities for children during the Northwestern series, Team IMPACT Celebration, Military Appreciation Game, Time Machine Tuesdays with decade-themed nights, Wii Sports Night against Western Illinois, and Strikeout Cancer Weekend during the UCLA series. Additional events such as First Responders Game with a postgame Home Run Derby and MVP Night celebrating professors are also planned. The World’s Largest Softball Tailgate and Senior Day will take place during the Penn State series, along with Marathon Day discounts for participants showing their bibs. The Challenger Game will honor the Tom Jones Challenger League for children with physical or mental challenges.
Season-long promotions include Bark in the Park—allowing fans to bring their dogs to every home game—and food specials like Triple Play Tuesday deals, Walking Taco Wednesdays, and FamILLy Friday packages.
