Sarah Foley, a senior forward for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini Women’s Soccer team, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Forwards to Watch List. The announcement was made by United Soccer Coaches on August 12.

Foley enters her final collegiate season following a strong junior year. She earned All-Big Ten Second-Team honors and set personal records in several categories, including goals (11), shots (33), shots on goal (22), and game-winning goals (6). Her 11 goals and 24 points marked the highest single-season totals for an Illinois player since 2015. The six game-winning goals were the most by an Illini since Vanessa DiBernardo’s eight in 2011. Foley also recorded her first career brace on September 8 at Mercer and added another at Wisconsin on September 19.

The watch lists are compiled by the Division I All-America Committees and aim to highlight college soccer talent ahead of the regular season’s start later this month. The lists feature returning United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from the previous season who are expected to play in 2025.
