In singles play against Eastern Kentucky, Kenta Miyoshi extended Illinois’ advantage with a straight-set win (6-0, 6-3) on Court 1. Jeremy Zhang rounded out the afternoon for Illinois with a win at No. 5 singles.
Later that day against Indiana, Illinois built upon its momentum by quickly capturing the doubles point through victories on Courts 1 and 3. In singles competition, Zach Viiala was first to finish with a win at No.6 singles (6-3,6-3), followed closely by Adam Jilly’s triumph at No.4 singles (6-3,6-2) after Gabriel Debru secured his own match (6-4,6-0) on Court 3.
