In singles competition, William Mroz won over Ozan Baris on Court 3 and Kenta Miyoshi defeated Matthew Forbes at No. 2 singles—Miyoshi’s highest-ranked win this season. Viiala added another point for Illinois with a three-set victory against Taym Alazmeh on Court 5. However, Michigan State responded with wins in other matches, including Danial Rakhmatullayev’s comeback against Adam Jilly that sealed the outcome.
