The University of Illinois announced on Mar. 13 that the Fighting Illini baseball team will adjust its upcoming series against Minnesota because of expected bad weather. The teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday at Illinois Field, starting at 1 p.m. Central Time.
The second game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the first game ends. There will be no games played on Sunday. Friday’s game remains as planned and will start at 6 p.m. Central Time.
A parking notice was also issued: Parking at State Farm Center will not be available on Saturday, March 14, due to the IHSA Boys State Basketball Championships. Visitors are advised to use grass lots east and west of Illinois Field, or park at the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building and Atkins Tennis Center.
