On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 4 p.m., the Eastern Illinois Panthers, featuring former Monticello High School standout Lizzie Stiverson, were defeated 8-0 by the Grand Canyon Antelopes in an NCAA Division I softball contest.
The matchup was held at GCU Softball Stadium and marked the teams’ first game against each other this season.
Stiverson contributed two hits in three plate appearances.
The Panthers are set to play their next game on Sunday, March 1, at 11:30 a.m. at GCU Softball Stadium, once again facing the Grand Canyon Antelopes.
