The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has issued several building permits for large-scale construction projects in July 2025. The permits are for developments with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more.

On July 21, a permit was granted for a new single-family dwelling at 3902 Bay Circle, valued at $400,000. Another significant project is an addition to a medical facility at 3103 Fields South Dr, with an estimated value of $9,863,658. This permit was issued on July 17. Additionally, a commercial alteration permit for tenant fit out at 63 E Marketview Dr was approved on July 30 and is valued at $1,137,192.

According to the Building Safety Division, the total year-end construction value for 2025 stands at $117,979,999.
