The City of Champaign has announced that the pavement on Bradley Avenue, stretching from Alpine Drive to Duncan Road, will undergo reconstruction. Stark Excavating has been selected as the contractor for this project, which is set to commence on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, contingent upon weather conditions.

As part of the initial phase of construction, Duncan Road will be closed on the north side of Bradley Avenue for an estimated period of three to four weeks. Meanwhile, Duncan Road south of Bradley Avenue will remain accessible.

To accommodate the work during this phase, traffic on Bradley Avenue will be reduced to two lanes with one lane open in each direction. Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes to avoid potential delays. The entire project is expected to reach completion by mid-October.
