In the week ending Feb. 28, a single gas station in Ford County sold midgrade gas, offering it at the price of $3.49 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

There is only one reported gas station located within Ford County.

For comparison, the average price of midgrade gas in Illinois was $3.56 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 28, up from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
