Report: Rossville Alvin School District spent $9,994 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rossville Alvin Community Unit School District 7 was up 22.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Vermilion County school district spent $8,161 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,994 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 314 to 278 students over the same period.

Rossville Alvin's spending in 2019-20 was 31 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
