Analysis: Monticello pays $7.06 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Monticello Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.6 percent of the $218,221 the Monticello Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.06 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Monticello contributed $191,159 to the fund, which saw a $35,329 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $27,063, or 12.4 percent, in 2016.
