One of the southbound lanes of Neil Street between Clark Street and White Street is currently closed to allow for construction of a new sidewalk; it is scheduled to reopen on March 3.
Wells & Wells Construction and Mayfield Construction are both working on the sidewalk and curb, which are for 217 S. Neil St.
The lane closure is in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with traffic reopening on all lanes overnight.
The lane closure, which reduces southbound traffic on the road to one lane in that area, is scheduled to end on March 3 barring any weather setbacks to the construction schedule.
