He stated the apparent low bidder was Altorfer Cat with a base bid price of $45,710.00. He added the alternate bid for the broom attachment from Altorfer Cat was $6,480.00, bringing the total bid price to $52, 190.00. He stated the total price was $2, 190.00 more than the $50,000.00 that was budgeted but there is money to support this overage in the vehicle replacement fund.

It was stated Staff understood purchasing the skid steer and broom attachment would be over the budgeted amount by $2, 190.00. However, purchasing the broom attachment now will reduce the cost next year when replacing the Toro batwing mower by approximately $15,000. When the Village replaces that Toro, there will no longer be a need for a cab with heat and air conditioning, and there will also not be a need to replace the broom.
