County to award five-year auditing contract
Champaign County is preparing to award a five-year contract for financial auditing services.
The county's call for bids closed March 9 and the county board's finance committee is expected to recommend a winning bid at its meeting Tuesday. The county board as a whole will consider the recommendation at its regular meeting April 21.
Workspace will be provided for the selected accountant in the Auditor's Office at 1776 E. Washington St. in Urbana. The accountant will have access to the Auditor's Office staff, as well as Internet access, a phone and a copier.
The selected accountant is expected to contract with the county for annual audits beginning with 2016 and continuing through 2020.
