The village of Pesotum swore in Melanie Schultz as the new village treasurer Feb 3.
Schultz will begin her term just in time to be part of the village's budget conversation. The board began 2016-17 budget discussions during its regular meeting by considering printouts of Motor Fuel Tax expenses, Davis Cemetery expenses, and overall village costs and revenues prepared by Village President Cheryl Smitley.
The meeting was adjourned after 14 minutes.
